Why use concrete for landscape borders?
Concrete is a solid product that will weather better and longer than
any product on the market. Also concrete edging will not rust, rot or
move like other borders.
How is the concrete installed?
The concrete is extruded in one continuous piece, eliminating cracks or
joints for plants to grow through. A 6" wide base makes a very
effective root barrier for aggressive southern grasses.
How long does the process take?
Depending on the type and footage of the installation, it normally takes only 1 day
Will the curbing crack?
We experience very little cracking, however, all concrete can crack. We
take every precaution to limit the cracking and try to control it with
expansion joints. To control cracking we place joints every 3-5 feet to
provide room to flex with temperature changes and minor ground
movement. Never roll over your curb with a car, truck, etc.
How often should I seal my border?
You should seal your border once a year for the best curb appeal. We
can reseal your curb for a fee; contact us for information.
Is the color painted or stained on the curb?
All of the colors are mixed into the concrete during the mixing
process. The color will not flake off or disappear over time. A sealer
can aid in the lifetime of the color, we recommend sealing every year.
